Boughton Lodge operates a duty safety officer scheme on Saturday’s, Sunday’s and Bank holidays throughout the busy part of the season. Please ensure you know when you are assigned duty and that you sign in and provide a contact number on the board in the club house.

If it is not practical to attend the allocated date, please arrange to swap duty with another member and advise a Safety Committee member of the agreed change.

Duties of the Safety Officer of the Day (SOD) are posted in the club house. The SOD is required to be on site and provide a visible presence, at least from 11am – 5pm. The SOD must be inside the compound and in particular be on the island during busy periods and during the lunchtime and afternoon ringo hours. A white board is provided in the clubhouse with the SOD name and any additional duties for that day, Please write your mobile contact number and location if not on the island. Walkie talkies may be provided if necessary.

A fine of £100.00 will be levied for non attendance in 2010.
