Boughton Lodge is considered by many to be the premier non profit making boat owners waterski club in the UK. Set up in 1985 we enjoy exclusive use of over 150 acres of water. The club started as an empty site without a launch ramp and has evolved over the years into a family and safety oriented club with 58 summer caravan plots, moorings and water spaces dedicated to beginners, recreational and tournament water skiing.

Excellent financial management has enabled the club to go from strength to strength and in 1993 we replaced our dilapidated portacabin clubhouse with our current brick built clubhouse which provides a social area, kitchen facilities and showers and toilets.

More recently we have expanded our on water tournament facilities by splitting our tournament lake into two. This enables us to run two sheltered slalom courses simultaneously with the southern section also used for trick skiing and jumping with our recently refurbished jump ramp.

We have always been affiliated to the British Water Ski Federation and actively partake in nationally recognised programs including the successful Kids Coaching Club which is rebranded in 2008 as Cutting Edge. This program gives kids the opportunity to benefit from coaching that is delivered by federation approved instructors and coaches.

 

 

Boughton Lodge also enjoys a close partnership with South Lake Ski School which was set up in 1996 by two Boughton Lodge members who were absolutely passionate about the sport and wanted to set up a commercial ski school on an adjacent lake.
