2011 Princes Pro Am
August 2011

Boughton Lodge members are rewarded with success in the prestigious 2011 Princes ProAm. Twelve teams of four amateur skiers compete with an assigned Pro skier. Boughton Lodge members entered two teams. The first consisted of Nick and Jemma Allman along with Kieran Boreland, their fourth team member was Princes skier Mark Burridge. The second team was lead by our own Graham Murphy and included son Darren in their line up.
The pro skiers were drawn into their teams on the second day of competition and the Allman / Boreland team drew current word champion and team Malibu pro skier, Thomas Degasperi. The Murphy team were drawn with team Nautique pro skier Jason McClintock.
Following varying weather conditions over the three day event, the Allman / Boreland team came in first place. The Murphy team won a credible third place. It was great to see five Boughton Lodge members on the winners podium. Congratulations to all!!

The eight highest placed pro skiers finished the event with a thrilling head to head knock out session. This was an exciting display of slalom skiing at its best and came down to a final head to head run between Aaron Larkin and Thomas Degasperi. Aaron won by 0.5 buoy with a score of 3.5 @ 10.75M. Chris Parrish came third after losing the semi final head to head against Thomas Degasperi.
